The spiritual search is the search for your own essence; the essential part of your being, without which, you are not you. It is an inward search; a search to find an answer to the question, ‘Who am I?’ This essence, when you finally stumble upon it, when you have cleared away layer upon layer of masks, delusions, and you have seen through all the false ideas you have about yourself; when you finally reach this essence, you will discover that it is not just your essence that you have chanced upon, it is the essence of all that is; it is the essence of all that has ever been and all that ever will be.

In this essence there is a oneness, a wholeness, a non-separation from the rest of existence. And this is why there are many other names for this essence. You can call it existence itself. You can call it your buddha nature. You can call it god. And this essence, which can be felt, it can be lived, but it can never be adequately described, this essence is a total peace; it’s an infinite space; it’s a stillness, an utter stillness. Yet it is vibrating with the energy of the whole of existence. It is the dwelling place for the lucky ones.

So dig down in yourself. You too can reach to this essential place in your being. In fact your essence is your being, your very being-ness. Dwell there and all of life becomes a flow of joy, ecstasy, bliss. All the surface ripples are but light entertainment, here today, gone tomorrow, of no consequence. So come join me: Plunge into your essence and it will no longer be your essence but the essence of all that is. Dwell there, my friends, dwell there.
